Sculptures by Reidar Finsrud
All of Reidar Finsrud’s sculptures are original works, where not only the modelling, but also the casting moulds, casting, retouch, polishing, patinate and assembly are executed by the artist. Some sculptures are cast in bronze, but most are cast in a very imperishable material; “Cromitt”. This material is more expensive than bronze, but has the advantage of not being affected by acids and alkalies.
Reidar Finsrud has developed a casting technique where among other things vacuum is part of the process, this gives the casting material extreme high density.
